Terrell Mill Estates Homeowners Association

Pay dues by April 1st and you could win one of SEVEN gift cards up for grabs.

The fantastic party somehow gets even better each year! Since 2015, the neighborhood's Halloween Party has been hosted by Michael Akers and Tum Tunthatakas, who create a new and fantastic Halloween wonderland every year. TME kids, parents and friends gather for pizza, and then the adults take the kids on a manageable route that includes parts of Brookview, Pebble Creek, and Beechwood. Not to be missed! See the 2022 photos on our social page.
Friday night Deck-Togethers have been a hit.
The 3rd Friday of the month has drawn a crowd to Kim and David Kenley's deck. The first one was the "Holy Goats" party to see the amazing ivy-eating goatscapers from Glitzy Goats. So many people came, the Kenley's decided to host monthly summer "deck-togethers."
TME Car Club - April 23, 2023
Ladies Who Lunch - Next March 3
The club's events are a blast, whether you're a car enthusiast or just want to get out and socialize. Email Bill Cartus to be notified when club events are scheduled. Check out photos from previous club events on the social page.
Lunches take place several times a year and are a fun way for neighbors to get acquainted. For 2023, Kim Kenley will be coordinating, so email her to be notifified when a lunch is scheduled. Details about the March 3rd lunch on the social page.
Ask an arborist first.
An arborist NOT connected to a tree service will provide unbiased expertise on tree health, growth expectations, recommendations for trimming, etc. They can save you a lot of grief and the cost is not that much. For a list of independent, certified arborists, email Bruce.
Thank YOU for doing your part to keep our neighborhood a great place to live.
Why paying the dues is important.
Our HOA is dedicated to maintaining the qualities that attracted us all to Terrell Mill Estates. YOU play a vital role by paying dues.
The dues cover the costs of having an attractive entrance: landscaping, flowers, water, electricity, upkeep of the irrigation and lighting systems, and maintenance of the brickwork, stonework and ironwork.
We also have the cost of keeping all of our homeowners informed on neighborhood matters. Email is our mainstay, but to make sure everyone gets key information, we also have to print and distribute newsletters and the directory.
Your dues also support our website, which provides a convenient and secure place to make your payment, and it has news about TME clubs and events. Other costs covered by dues are state registration, tax filing, and insurance.
The dues are genuinely important and are reflected in our healthy home values. Our goal this year is to have all payments by April 1st, so please take a minute now to send yours.
Thanks very much!
The Board and all our HOA volunteers.
Thanks to the vast majority of TME homeowners who paid dues by April 1st! And congrats to the winners of the FIVE $70 Gift Cards!
Special thanks to homeowners Rob and Glenda Elliott, who own Massey Automotive. They donated 3 gift cards! Massey is one of the top repair shops in Cobb and is nearby. 2050 Lower Roswell Road 770-971-4466 www.masseyautomotive.com
Walter Reeves on Ivy in trees
Letting ivy grow up into your trees is asking for trouble. Georgia’s best known gardening expert, Walter Reeves, has a good Q & A on why ivy up in trees is bad and should be removed. It's on Walter’s website, which is chock full of good information on plants. Good news! We've now had quite a few homeowners really getting after the ivy growing up into their trees. It's good for them and good for all of us.
Is your yard in the street?
We try to be reasonable about yard upkeep, but we have to point out that grass is supposed to stop inside the curb. If you have grass (or weeds) growing over the curb or in the gutter, please get rid of it. Any yard service can do it, or you can do it yourself. Here's a good article on how to get rid of weeds in concrete and asphalt.
Mailbox renovation season
Have you actually looked at your mailbox lately? Chances are, it's tired or dirty or crooked. We hadn’t looked closely at our’s in probably 30 years. It was embarrasingly tired and faded, so we pressure washed it, repainted the lid, and added new street numbers. Night and day. Just sayin’. Pressure wash companies per TME residents:Splash Power Cleaning (770) 374-8257 Wilson Pressure Wash - James (678) 368-3277
Library expands on Beechwood
A first for the neighborhood! The “Little Free Library” is open curbside at 3160 Beechwood, the home of “librarian” Natalie Wood. And due to the popularity, a separate kids "building" has been added! Natalie invites you to come by and take a book/leave a book. The selection of books changes with every visit, so come often. Free parking!
TME Covenants on the website
When you buy in Terrell Mill Estates, you come under our covenants automatically. They are straightforward and have served us well in maintaining neighborhood standards and home values. The covenants are printed in your directory and can be downloaded from the Covenants page of this website. Of particular note... If you're planning an addition, outbuilding, shed, etc., please read the covenants carefully and contact the HOA to make sure what you're planning will be in compliance. There is RARELY any problem, but better safe than sorry.
